Huron Consulting Presents

AI in Practice: What It Looks Like for Your District

Session Description: AI is already changing how healthcare organizations operate, but much of the conversation centers on large health systems with dedicated technology teams and significant capital budgets. For healthcare district leaders and public health organizations, a practical question remains: Where does AI create real value for organizations of our size, structure and mission?

This closing session picks up where Thursday’s AI governance session leaves off and moves from readiness frameworks to practical application. Participants will explore where AI is already improving operations in organizations that resemble healthcare districts, including administrative workflows, community health outreach, workforce coordination and financial management. The session will also address common concerns directly, from accuracy and oversight to whether public entities can adopt these tools under existing regulations.

Attendees will leave with a practical understanding of where AI can fit within district operations, regardless of whether the district provides direct patient care. Anna will share a framework for launching a first use case using existing staff and budgets, along with concrete next steps leaders can bring back to their boards. Learn how your district can move from awareness to action and put AI to work in service of your community.
