ACHD’s Annual Legislative Day is just around the corner…
On April 8-9th, 2013, ACHD will hold our annual Legislative Day. This year’s theme, “Riding the Legislative Wave,” builds on the Association’s annual theme “Turning the Tide,” and focuses on shifting legislative perspectives both in Sacramento and in your local Districts.
Our goal is that you gain the skills throughout this important event to:
• Advocate effectively for Healthcare Districts;
• Create positive relationships with local representatives;
• Communicate priority legislative issues facing Healthcare Districts;
• Establish relationships and communicate with local media.
This exciting 2-day educational event is a great way to learn about and engage in legislative issues that impact your District. This year, ACHD is featuring a panel of Legislators, who will discuss legislation that will impact Healthcare Districts. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet with your Assemblymembers and Senators in the Capitol to discuss issues of utmost importance to your District.
