Palomar Health Offers Free Installation of Medical Alert Service for Fall Victims

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Palomar Health Palomar Health is offering free installation of the Philips Lifeline with AutoAlert service, a medical alert that features the first pendant-style button that automatically calls for assistance when a fall victim is unable to push the help button and a fall is detected.

This special offer by Palomar Health Lifeline is available until June 30. Subscribers can save up to $90 for the installation of a well-known medical alert system that now comes with an added layer of protection for fall victims.  There is a monthly charge for the medical alert service. AutoAlert-pendant-closeup

The Philips Lifeline with AutoAlert option offers all the benefits of the Philips Standard Lifeline Medical Alert Service with the additional automatic call for help service when a fall is detected.  

Each year in the United States, one out of every three adults age 65 and older falls, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Among seniors, falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths, nonfatal injuries and hospital admissions for trauma. For many, falls threaten their ability to live independently.

AutoAlert Sub photoWhen fall victims receive help in a timely manner, the potential costs of extended treatment, rehabilitation and supported living are reduced.

With the AutoAlert option, fall victims can receive assistance in a timely fashion when a fall is detected, even if they are unable to push their help button due to loss of consciousness, becoming immobilized, forgetting or even not considering pushing their button.

Palomar Health Lifeline is a program of Palomar Health Home Care Services. The free installation is available to residents who live in North San Diego County and in immediate surrounding areas.
