September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. With ovarian cancer known as the fifth leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States it’s important to stay informed about this type of cancer. This disease is wide ranging, affecting women ages 35-74, making it crucial to get educated about the threat and support our loved ones diagnosed with this disease.
Since there is currently no early detection test it’s important for all women to be aware of possible symptoms and talk to their physicians regularly about risk and prevention. Symptoms include:
