Health care district doles out $1.8M in grants

The Peninsula Heath Care District granted $1.8 million in grants to 19 local organizations that are dedicated to promoting healthy living.

The district awarded the grants as part of an annual program which offers money to organizations, based on a review of health care needs and evolving priorities of local communities.

Caminar Bridges to Wellness Program, Catholic Charities Adult Day Health, Children’s Health Initiative, Community Gatepath, CORA, Edgewood Center, InnVision Shelter Network, Jewish Family and Children’s Services, Mid-Peninsula Boys and Girls Club, Ombudsman Services, Peninsula Family Services, Parca, Police Activities League, Samaritan House, San Bruno Park School Health Clinic, Second Harvest Food Bank, Senior Focus, StarVista and the Latino Commission all accepted a share of the grant money.
