On October 13, 2013, Governor Brown completed action on all legislation presented to him by the Legislature. For the 2013 Legislative session, Governor Brown signed 800 regular session bills and vetoed 96.
According to the Sacramento Bee, Brown has “frequently complained about the number of bills sent to him by the Legislature, but he was relatively accommodating this year, signing all but about 11 percent of the bills sent to him. Over the course of his career, Governor Brown has signed more than 13,500 regular session bills.”
As you can imagine, ACHD was very busy in the recent Legislative session. The Advocacy Team took active positions on a total of 46 measures, 21 of which were sent to the Governor. The Governor acted in the following way for the 21 measures considered.
