The West Side Healthcare District has redrawn its board member zones, finalizing a change that will first be evident to voters in the November 2014 ambulance board races.
District trustees put the process in motion about a year ago to bring the public agency into conformance with voter rights acts.
A resolution approving the change was adopted by the board of directors in February; more recently the board was advised that the amendments have been finalized.
The healthcare district board President Rick Daniel said they took the step as a pre-emptive measure against the threats of voter rights act lawsuits which have been sweeping public agencies in the Central Valley.
