On Monday, January 5, 2015, California’s statewide elected officials returned to Sacramento. Governor Jerry Brown was sworn into his historic fourth term as California’s Governor in front of the California Legislature, Constitutional and Judicial Officers.
The Governor is now focused on presenting his budget proposal on January 9. Concurrently, the Legislature will focus their priorities on introducing measures to be considered in policy and fiscal committees. The Legislature has until February 27, to introduce measures in their respective houses for consideration.
As Legislators settle into the legislative session, the ACHD Advocacy Team will be busy meeting the newly elected members of the Legislature and monitoring introduced legislation to determine their impact on Healthcare Districts and the ALPHA Fund.
