ACHD’s 62nd Annual Meeting

An effective Healthcare District Trustee is one who understands and adheres to…

My guess is that if you asked 100 Healthcare District Trustees to finish that sentence, the responses would be quite varied.  Of interest to me would be the number of responses that correctly referenced the legal duties of a Trustee:

  • The duty of care
  • The duty of loyalty
  • The duty of obedience

Trustees hold positions of public trust and the decisions they make on behalf of the constituents they represent should consistently reflect conformance with these three duties.  How does a Trustee demonstrate adherence to these duties?  What are the implications of acting in a manner contrary to these duties?  Does anyone care?  Where do the Trustee obligations stop and the District Executive obligations begin?

Learn the answers to these questions and more by attending ACHD’s 62nd Annual Meeting, Leading the Way to Effective Governance.  Click here for program information and to register for this event.
